This STO N SHO Quick-Release Front License Plate Bracket is an aftermarket solution to the front-mounted license plate that will not ruin your front bumper. It is a two-piece quick release system consisting of a front license plate holder and a base mounting plate that allows you to stay legal while on the streets but can be simply removed when you are at a car show or track.
Once the front plate is removed you can’t even tell the mounting plate is there! Manufactured in the USA, the STO N SHO system is constructed from 5052 and 6061 aluminum for a durable construction.
Both of the plates are precision laser cut and hand-burnished while each tube and rod is machine cut and hand cleaned. The entire bracket system is then finished with a sleek black paint for a nice finished look.
Tech Tips:
- Will require one hole to be drilled for installation.

The STO N SHO bracket is available for performance pack and non-performance pack Mustangs. The installation's very simple. This bracket is going to install underneath your bumper on this plastic valance down here and this will simply slide on and lock into place.
For this installation we need a T-15 Torx bit, seven millimeter socket or nut driver and a 10 millimeter socket or nut driver.
The first thing you want to do is remove this screw from the center of your factory lower trim. The bolt removed we can install the bracket. You want to make sure the release is facing the driver side. Grab the provided screw, put it through the front, put the spacer on then install the screw right where the screw came out that we just removed. With that screw in the front the kit includes this self-tapping screw as well. Grab a 10 millimeter socket or a nut driver, force it into the plastic. And get it snug, you don't have to over tighten it. Install the plate and provided hardware, pull back on the pin, lock it in and your installation's finished.
The STO N SHO bracket's a great way to add a necessary license plate to the front of your Mustang without drilling holes. The best part about it, you're going to a track or car show, whatever, pull the pin, take it off, throw it in the trunk and you can put right back in place for the ride home to keep you legal. Just line it up, pull the pin and lock it in place. Installation's very simple. You actually don't need the car up in the air, you can do it on the ground. Take you no more than about 15 minutes, back on the road in no time.
